About Us

MSC Camp Wilderness came into existence in the Fall of 1999. A small group of individuals got together in a cabin in the Michigan north woods and made a decision to dedicate themselves to our hunting heritage and the education of our future, the youth of our state.

This small group brought with them several years of experience of working at other Youth Camps around Michigan. Putting to use this experience and using a proven curriculum they moved forward with their dream. A fun, exciting way to learn about the outdoors.

MSC Camp Wilderness is a 501c3 education organization. Our staff is 100% volunteer. What this means is ALL the monies collected and items donated for camp go to the education of the kids. In fact it costs our staff considerable dollars and time to attend camp each year.

After months of fund raising and paperwork we held our first camp in the summer of 2000. And since its start we have been growing each year with the number of kids and sponsors.

If it were not for the help of our sponsors and parents that send the children to camp, we would not have a camp today.
